On July 1st 2025, we announced that 43 023 has been repainted in the very first livery the powercar received from new almost 50 years ago.
Inspired by a childhood IC125 model received as a child, Matt Golding and the team at 125 Heritage have spent the last few months working restoring 43023 to its former glory and earlier this week, it received the iconic Inter-City 125 branding.
We have our next running day at the Colne Valley Railway on the 5th July 2025, and the powercar will be on display throughout the day in platform 2, along with 73 and 165. Powercars 71 and 82 will be operating the onboard buffet.
